It really is bright and doubles as an awesome pocket flashlight. Highly recommend for the price! Product arrived just as described and it works great. Light coverage is wide and bright. The light stays on the bike pretty well. Just picked this up after browsing the reviews of many other units here on Amazon. Very happy with it so far -- just installed it, and tried it out last night in my neighborhood, parts of which are virtually unlit, and it it performed well. The majority of the light is focused on a spot in front, but there's a bit of a "halo" of light spread out. This Bell Dawn Patrol light is aptly named. The led is very powerful for such a small package. We do a lot of bike riding at night and this little gem really shine(padon the pun).
