Worked very well on a 2011 Equinox. Carried a man's mountain bike and a kids bike with no issues. Traveled in two hours (mostly highway) without any problems. I have read the reviews prior to buying and was skeptical about buying the cheaper of the mount rack, but decided to give it a go. I found the rack easy to install and not a problem with my nissan maxima with the spoiler. The spoiler actually seems to support the rack even more. I have used the rack several times now even on the highway and have not noticed any movement or shifting of the rack. The only reason I did not give four stars is that when carrying two bikes you have to be careful of one bike scatching the other during the drive. My girlfriends bike pedal scratched the underside of the frame on my brand new road bike! I followed the other suggestions of the other reviewers on here and put a sock on the pedal to prevent any further scratching. I noticed recently that the leading edge of the spoiler had some paint scratched off on both sides but for me was not a big deal since my car is old and not really concerned about it. If you have a newer car and worried about scratches I would definitely follow the other suggestions on here to place a cloth or rag in between the contact points to prevent any scratching. Otherwise this bike rack works great for the money and I would recommend as long as you take the precautions I mentioned earlier. Light weight, compact size and easy to use (on and off in 1 minute)for my new road bike. I've had no problems or complaints. I've only used this bike rack with one mountain bike and it performs perfectly. I've used it on two cars one with spoilerand one without works great on both. It's Very well built and looks comperable to racks cousting twice as much. I do recommend putting duct tape on the inside of clips to prevent paint scratching and tying several snug knots on straps after they aretightened to prevent them loosening on bumpy roads. Like previous reviewers have said, I found this bike rack to be easy to install and easy to use. It's lightweight and carries my woman's cruiser just fine.You can use it with a woman's bike, just do what they say in the instructions and turn one clasp upside down to hook onto the front as it hangs.As for extras, two bungee cords are enough to hold the wheels straight and keep it steady.A must have for anyone who wants a quality bike rack but doesn't have the money for one. :) I bought this for my '96 Chrysler Sebring Convertible not sure if it would work but couldn't beat the price. It worked out great and was able to take a couple of bikes for about an hour drive and a single bike for a 4 hour drive without any issues. With the shape of my car this was pointing more upwards than out like it was designed but I didnt have any issues with that. It left a little scratch on my trunk where the handle bar was leaning against it but nothing too noticeable. I recently moved from Utah to Texas and needed a bike rack that could go the distance without any trouble. After reading the reviews and checking prices for other racks, this one seemed like the safest bet. Keep in mind I only used it for 1 bike and not 2. My bike and my little 98 Honda Civic made it without any damage/scratches to the car or bike. The trip was 1,200 miles and I averaged a speed of 75mph, some times getting up to 85mph. The rack held up perfectly and only about every 3 or 4 hours of driving would I re-tighten the straps. An overall great product! The product is very easy to set up, it works great. With two bikes on it, it's still very stable. I bought this unit to transport my bike to trails and to the toe path and bike paths. It works just fine! It doesn't scratch the car, it's got plenty of padding so it doesn't bounce all around. The tie downs are nice and tight, they have not come loose while transporting. Really, if you are looking for a good quality, well built reliable unit that doesn't scratch your car or bike. Look no further- this is a good unit! Works very well on my hatchback, 1991 VW GTI. Solid, feels very secure, simple easy installation. Have hauled 2 bikes with no issues at all.
