I'm now about to purchase my 3rd Giro In

I'm now about to purchase my 3rd Giro Indicator helmet in 5 years. I've survived 3 crashes in Chicago with them on. These helmets WORK! I've been doored, right turned into, and most recently smashed full speed into someone making an improper left turn in front of me. I definitely know I hit my head in 2 of these crashes, and the left turn one bruised my face.Bottom line? I'm sticking with this helmet! It's tried and true, and I'm glad it's prevented devestating injuries more than once! I'm just a beginning cyclist, but I wanted a good quality helmet for riding that gave me the head protection I might need and a cool wearing experience during use. The Giro Indicator was just what I was looking for and at a price point that wasn't excessive either. After looking at numerous reviews about this helmet, and coming to the conclusion that really the main complaint was the chin staps odd formation...I decided to still go for it. Bad choice. I am 110 lbs 5'4", athletic shape, and the straps press into my jawline. I thought maybe it was people that could be a bit overweight who were complaining about this. Apparently not. The straps rest sticking out on your jawline area. It's soooo uncomfortable! So, you think you will just keep that area loose as a solution? I suggest not, because then where's the protection in that? You need a helmet that you are comfotable wearing snug, so if you are struck by a vehicle or get into some other form of accident, that puppy doesn't shift wayside and leave you cracking your head open. ALSO, it doesn't come down nearly as much as I thought it would in the back. You have a large portion of your head exposed. That's not good because that's an especially important area you want to protect! Needless to say, I got rid of it ASAP. Maybe I will just stick to trying helmets on in person. Oh, the shipping was very slow, so if you need a helmet in a rush this would not be a good option.
